Aux. Oil Cooler
Have been thinkning...scary...I know...but...seeing how there is issues with turbos coking and what not...has anyone installed or thought about installing an aux oil cooler? I have a new fuel cooler off of a Liebherr crane that is up to the task, jus dont know if it would be beneficial to install.
You already have an oil cooler built into the factory oil filter housing.
Look closely and you will see the oil feed to the turbo is right off the oil filter housing, so your turbo is getting pretty cool oil already.
The best thing to to do to avoid coking is let your engine idle 1-5 minutes before shutting it off.

The "coking" is not caused by high oil temp, it's caused by a high turbo temp. Think of it as pouring cold oil into a hot frying pan, that's what happens. The turbo is what needs cooled, specifically the exhaust side.
