Question Canadian Cert. Does a Diesel need a Muffler?

Sorry but im reasking this question but I own a 1994 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins Diesel and my mechanic keeps pushing I need a Muffler to pass a certification... I have had many people tell me no. I'm in Canada Ontario and my friends say no but if anyone has a site like a .gov or something that gives me proof so I dont have to blow some money to just take it off later. Thanks.

Yes you need a mufler.. Thier should be one allready with the truck, if not than replace it at Midas or any othier mufler shop.

Check out the OPP or call you local cop shop for the provincal codes relating to the provinces High Way traffic Act.

I'm sure there is a noise regulation.
So there may not be an actual muffler standard.
