Hey guys i searched through 20+ pages and no solid answers so here it goes.

I just purchased a 2000 v10 had it for a few weeks and a few days ago my wife spun a rod bearing on the freeway.Now im looking for a v10 engine but can't find one for cheap and low miles since my truck only has 83k miles on it.
I just got this crazy idea that i would love to do since my truck is a 2500 i know we share the same transmission but what do i need to do this swap??
I really like my truck and dont want to give away if i sell it and would love to have a diesel in there!I found here locally an engine,wiring,ecu for about 1500 its out of a 98 i think that would bolt on?

I dont want to start this project and not finish it if you think it will be too expensive then i'll just buy a v10 again i really don't want to though!
