Default Dusted engine?

Dealer is telling me my engine is dusted so its not on warranty. Im new to diesels so can anyone tell me howone out of 6 cylinders is bad if the engine got dusted, my #6 is 220lbs and the rest are between 340 and 350lbs. Does anyone know where I can get a short block for a 06 5.9 cummins.

First of all, try another dealer, many are rip-off artists when it comes to diesel service. Next try an authorized Cummins shop.
Were you running the oem intake?
Did you do any pulling, racing, etc with it, without the filter?
What is their proof that it's "dusted"?

I don't see dusting effecting one cylinder only. I call BS. If your engine is dusted the compressor wheel on the turbo should be very damaged. Tell them to show you the evidence.

They say there is that dust has been in the boots to the turbo and after the intercooler. They also put it on there computer so whatever dealership looks at it ,it comes up as a dusted engine and your screwed.Ive had the truck for 10 months and put 19k on it and has been offroad only in winter snowmobiling but that doesnt matter to them. Ive pulled a 6000lb holiday trailer and 4000lb snowmobile trailer so that shouldnt have hurt it. I would hope not anyway. Anyone know where I can get a short block and a good diesel mech to put it.

My engine was dusted. I bought a used 06. The dealer replaced my engine under warranty. Doesnt matter if its in the computer. Take it to another dealer and get their service opinion because all my cylinders were affected by it....not just one.

....and the stock intake will let "some" dust through. I would politely press the issue.

PM me the last 8 digits of your VIN and I can see if they actually "restricted" your warranty...
