Default Just got 2500 ctd

I just bought a 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 slt, 4x2 with about 1200 miles. Yes only 1200. It was a bank repo that had been sitting at their lot for a while. I'm at the dealer ensuring that all the latest recalls are performed. Is there anything else I need to look out for? I've been reading about the problems with the particulate filter and hopefully by now they have been reduced to a minimum with the reprogramming and such. I'm going to use this mainly to pull my rv. Should I go ahead and get an oil change now since it seems the vehicle was parked for a while? It ran good when I drove it. What about other fluids? Should those also be changed?

Thanks,

Oscar.

Personally when I buy a used vehicle I change all of the fluids and start my own maintance records. Congratulations on the new ride. Make sure to keep up on changing the fuel filter as well.

Congratulations!

Unfortunately the problems are still there and they have not been fixed. But there are ways around it, if you know what I mean. I suggest you research some forums and especially cumminsforum.com and you will find a lot of information.

It is a great truck! You will like it!

I just bought my truck at 126,000 mi and changed all the fluids, but at 1200 miles the truck wouldn't be overdue for anything changed. Maybe do the oil, just because it had been sitting. Look in the manual, and see what they recommend the interval for a new truck, since it basically is.
