Default 05 intake suggestions

i run an 05 2500 with an auto, gutted cat, and i have a bully dog triple dog. im looking to upgrade the air intake and was wondering what suggestions everyone had. is it worth it to do a whole system rather than just an air filter?

Default aftermarket intake

I have an aftermarket one I will take off my truck and sell to you for $125.00 plus you give me your factory intake system? Its the true flow system that sells for over 300 new. Here is the link to the exact one they sell for an 06 2500 diesel. They should be the same...

You can bore a hole in the front and bottom of your current air box and it will suck pretty well. I did about a 4" hole. Add a aftermarket filter and you are good to go. A lot cheaper than a whole setup and works just about as well. I remove the rubber flap in the summer to get even more air. It rams it right in there. Just my .02.

I did pretty much the same thing, cut a 4" hole in the bottom installed a flange and ran a 4" tubing to the bottom of the engine bay. Then angled it into the air stream.
Will post pics if u like to see.

2005RAM2500 ... I'm interested in seeing pics of your install. Did you notice any change in performance after the mod.
