Default Losing hope....and patience

Well, a few weeks ago, i started developing some horrible squeaking/squealing noises. I spent $800 to replace a bad rear u-joint and front tie-rod.

Squeak not solved....come to find out, my front brakes were shot as well. Had those replaced...$630.

Squeak solved....for almost one full day. Then i start to notice a subtle squeak here and there. The more i drove, the more often and noticeable the squeak became. One week after having the front brakes replaced, it sounds like they are completely shot again. I washed my truck on Tuesday and polished up my wheels...it's now Friday and my wheels are completely covered in a dark-reddish colored dust. The rear wheels are still shining. I've never noticed the brake dust to be this thick and noticeable before in just a few days.

The only thing that i can think of is that the brakes were improperly installed, or it has something to do with the electronic brake controller i had installed along with the new brakes. However, I have only towed twice since having it installed, and not for long distances. Can the brake controller have an affect on the truck's brakes without even being connected to a trailer?

Sorry for the long post, but im desperate to get this thing resolved. Ive had my CTD since March...and within 2 weeks I've had to dump $1500 for things that shouldn't have to be fixed at 56,000 miles. And by the sound of it, im going to be paying more to fix something again shortly.

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!

Tough to fix these things online, but I'll try. Sounds like you took it to the dealer, first mistake.
Try to find a good independant shop, unless the warranty covers things. Did you ask about warranty?
If your brake controller is completely electronic, it's not the problem. If it is plumbed into the brake lines, it could be.
It's possible one or both of your front calipers is sticking. Take it back and demand that they re-do the work properly, including flushing the old fluid. To do the disc brakes properly, the slides MUST be cleaned and re-lubed. If the pistons are sticking, they need to replace the calipers.
You need to be a royal pain in their butt until they fix it properly.
Also the main reason no-one but me works on my truck.
Good luck.
