Default Contol arm bushings

Checking to see how involved it is to change out the control arm bushings? I have a 99 CTD 4x4. I have a friend with a 60,000 lb press which should get them out. Just checking to see if this is do-able in the driveway. I did change out my ball joints which was a PITA, just wondering if this is even more a PITA?????

Thanks

Hutch

I did them on my 2000 ram and w/o the press, you can do it but it is one job I'd pass on if faced with it again. using the press however, should be easy.

Not having a press... I made a press from parts from home depot... worked ok but was still alot of work. You could probably use a hole saw to speed up the removal of the old bushing. I didnt think of that the 1st 2 times I did it... Jeep GC & 2000 Ram.

if the bolts arent frozen to the metal sleeves the press should make it an easy job. the control arm bolts on the axle side like to weld themseves to the metal sleeve and some times have to be cut out. the lower bolts have a centric washer on them and are $50 from the stealer. ask me how I know. lol
