What would you guys do?
Im looking at an 06 2500 quad cab long bed 4x4 5.9 auto. They are asking $20,990 for it with 115k on it. looks like highway miles since it is set up with trailer brakes and all. I would be trading in my dakota with 66,680 on it. I really want a manual but the only ones im finding are dually which I dont mind but 4x2. I need 4x4 for my property and my dakota has become a hinder with it. I have to borrow a truck to go check fence, take the atv out, ect.

Also found an 03 long bed quad cab 4x4 with 60k on 5.9 auto for $19,990
I like the body style of the 06 but I think the 03 might be a little more worth it with less miles.
what do you guys think?

Mileage is nothing on the motor, the rest of the truck, well......
If the '03 isn't the common rail injection, I wouldn't touch it.
About the same price, which one do you like better?
Both have the better 48RE trans, so that shouldn't be an issue.
The '06 would probably be easier to get financing.
Are they giving you enough for the trade, and will they deal?

I like the 06 body style as far as mileage im just worried about the trans. 38k a year is alot so I imagine it must have been towing something. the dealer with the 03 offered 9k for my truck but I overheard them talking and they want it bad. they did tell me that they might be able to go more. the dealer with the 06 I havent been too yet but got back to me right away in e-mails when I asked mileage but quit e-mailing me when I asked to see pictures of the inside the bed and back of the truck since its the only truck on their site without those pictures.

IIRC '03 was when they made the change, mid year.
How far away is the '06 dealer? Usually someone using it for their business maintains them well.
Don't get too hung up on one truck, there's always another one.
38k a year isn't really that much. Most road trucks run 120k a year.
