Default first generation injectors

I have a 93 1 ton with 5 speed gertag, and its starting to struggle pulling my 5th wheel and smoking more and more between shifts. when pulling hills it's falling flat on its face upshifting to the next gear. with 385000 km, i'm thinking the injectors are wearing out.

what are the better injectors to get and which ones to stay away from?

i did a search, but of course i come up with hundreds of hits and not much 1st gen info

first off i wouldnt go with anything bigger that stock untill you get gauges. but there was a really good set of injectors on ebay for a little over $300. the are +40hp. i have installed about 6 sets of them and had nothing but good luck. also a 3200 GSK and some simple injection pump adjustments, will make an unbelieveable difference in driveabilty and HP.

i turned up the pump a year or 2 ago to where it smoked not to bad. it has a pyro and goes to about 1050-1100 on long pulls with about a 12k trailer.

i saw a set of bosch 40 hp on ebay for not a bad price.

what is a 3200 GSK ?

thanks

thoes are probably the correct injectors. the 3200 gsk means 3,200 RPM govener spring kit, and it one of the best mods i think you could do to a first gen, also its less than $20 for the spring

most diesel performance sites carry the spring, and if your running a stock turbo, a 16cm exhaust housing is a good upgrade and a lot cheaper than a complete turbo
