Default Anyone recommend the best brake controller for a 2003 CTD?

I am looking to pull a 30 foot trailer loaded with about 9k plus the weight of the trailer. Its time for a brake controller. Any suggestions which one to get? Also does my truck just have the plug in under the steering wheel for it? If so what color is it and what does it look like? Thanks

Cool, there is a plug-in for a controller on some models? I'd be interested to know if my new '07 has one.

They all have a plug in for the trailer brakes under the dash to the left of the steering column right up by the parking brake. I believe it is blue. I'd suggest the Prodigy. I've had mine for 3 years now and works great. All digital display, can run up to 3 axles and many more features. Also it can be mounted in any position unlike a lot of other controllers. I took the factory screw out from under the dash right by your right leg in front and put the controller there. Didn't have to drill any holes and its not in the way and easy to get to it.

x2 on the Prodigy, and they have the ready built harness for an extra $20 or so that makes it a true plug and play set up.
