Default Transfer Case Will Not Stay In 4WD

So i just ran into a odd situation, I took my transfer case out to install a Indexing ring. That went fine and i got everything put back into the truck. But now (And I have the manual floor shifter) when i try to put my truck in 4WD it will not stay in. It feels like there is a spring type action that keeps pushing it out.

I can pull and hold it, and my 4WD light comes on and i can feel it locking in but it just wont stay. Also It will not let me put it into 4LO. I already climbed under the truck and attempted to adjust the linkage. But the problem is coming from the case itself. Any ideas?

Try doing this with trans in neutral. Mine doesn't go in 4lo unless that. But I have the automatic shifter.
