A friend of mine who is a rep for Cat recommends Rotella. He also recommends looking for oils that have "Energy Conserving" on the API label (dough nut) for oils that can give you more mpg.

Why are you changing?

 

going to test see what is better I changed my oil and the fuel mileage dropped off using rotella 15w40 ran for 1100 miles and got poor 16mpg empty going to use Valvoline 15w40 may drop to 5w40 for the winter. If i stay up north and run loads..

 

2 1/2 gallon Mobil Delvac 15w40 with half gallon of Lucas Stabilizer. More oil pressure and better cold start up.

friend of wifes was just here. we were talking and he said he was using synthetic in his 04. He said every 1500 miles he had to put another gallon in. Some one suggested he change. So he started using davela and he aint lost a bit.

 

Anyone using Delo 15-40 everyone around here seems to be usin it. (Ca)

 

hey guys is mobile delvac 1300 super the supose( 1 millon mile oil) any good to run 93 5.9 12v i know it not synth. oil but is it good to run i can get it at a discount through wor at a discounted $$ or is it worth the $$$ to use synth.oil ?
