Default Squealing front driveshaft and clunking in 4 wheel drive

Have a 04 Ram 2500 5.9L Cummins 4door short bed. 2 problems I hope someone could help me out with.1st- I have a squealing sound while in 2 wheel drive that has progressively gotten worse over the last two months. Have pin pointed it to the front driveshaft. Manual says u joints. I took it in to a mechanic and was told the u joints are good. He said something between the u joints on the rear of the front driveshaft is wearing and I need a new driveshaft. I have tried to find a used one with no luck. 2nd problem- Friday I engaged the 4 wheel drive and it started making a clunking sound going forward and reverse. This is a new problem.
Does anyone know if the squealing from the front driveshaft in 2 wheel drive and clunking in 4 wheel drive = a certain problem?
I still think it might me the u joints. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

U-joints are toast.

Check the front axle shaft u-joints also, more than likely they're the problem.
