What do you all recommend for batteries. I am going to replace mine. I have an 06 3500 with about 150,000 km's on her and live where it gets really cold. I never had problems with the stock batteries mind you..

i just put a set of red top optimas in mine on friday, and wow that thing spins over fast! can hardly here it crank, it starts so fast, and my last batts. were out of a john deere combine, and seems to have about half the power of these optimas

 

The only bad thing about the Optimas is they now only have a three year warranty.

 

I would say Blue or Yellow top optima's for the diesel. you want the reserve capacity. spend the little extra, red tops are great batteries also.
