Im a half ton owner. i was wondering if the stock mopar hitch on a 3/4 2000 ram would fit on a half ton 1/2 ton 2000 ram.

 

I dont know about that... I tried looking on to a hitch site but they do offer different ones for a 2500 but that hitch is a class V ultra frame hitch 12,000 lbs other lower ones are the same from 1500 - 3500
so I would say yes they are the same and maybe the holes are different locations drilling may be required

 

well i looked at 2 separt ones off ebay (to look only). One was off a 2001 2500, one was off a 2000 1500 and from the pictures, side by side, the holes look the exact same. they were pictures of the hitches to. reason i ask is b.c my gf's dad has a bud who is scrapping a 2000 2500 cummines, bad motor, tranny most everything. and i was gonna take it off that and put it on mine. heck i guess if it doesnt work i can sell it on craigslist for $50 and go to pull-a-part or somethin.
