Removing Factory Lift from 95 4X4 2500
From my searches I can see this isn't done much but hopefully someone can help me out. My father has a 1995 Ram 2500 Diesel 4X4 and the factory lift causes him problems getting in and out. I know that lowering the rear is as simple as removing the lift block but the front is a problem. Did all 4X4 2500's have a factory lift because if it was an option I could get a set of front springs from a non lifted truck? Anybody got any ideas let me know.
Thanks,
Thanks,
you could put in a set of 1/2 ton springs, that would lower it for sure. I took mine out and put in the 2500 gas springs for my 2.5" of lift up front. I have my set sitting in the garage if your interested in them.
Thats a great idea It would defiantly work but the problem is my dad's truck is a diesel and I think I would need stronger springs for the heavier motor and unless I am mistaken the diesel wasn't offered in the 1500.
yeah don't do it. good in theory but you're asking for trouble since that cummins weighs 2 or 3 times as much. Poke your head under the fender of a 2wd 2500 and see if you could swap those in
