So i need to get a new fuel pump and injection pump. i was looking into the fass sytems and a industrial injection pump. any info that will help would be great. i dont need anything exterme but something that would give a sleeper a little more umph. I read good things about fass but not sure what type / psi i need?. looking to buy in the next couple days.

 

If I where you I would go with FASS. Off the lift pump you want at least 5psi at WOT and thats as low as its safe to go. 14-20psi seems to be good for these trucks.

 

We've got several options for you, but here's the thing....

First, what year is the truck?

What makes you think you need a new IP?

FASS or AirDog, that's fully understandable, but do you NEED a new injection pump or is it kind of a stab in the dark?

What do you want to do with the truck? How much power do you really want to make? What mods are already on the truck?

 

I have a 06 quad cab 8 ft bed. I have 90 hp injectors, air intake, juice/attitude, ATS inlet, 5 inch turbo back. I drive a lot during the week, roughly 1500 k. it has 188 on it. I treat it like a trailer queen during the week. But on the weekends i live right off a turn pike that i enjoy very much so covering the rice burners and imports in black smoke. Most of the time they follow me just to ask what's under the hood. Diesel is not to big in my neck of the woods. So i have no idea how the pump is. It is leaking a little bit and it looks and sounds like its on its last life. I would rather fix it before it really craps out.
