Injector cleaning tool?
Hey Guy's, was wondering what you guy's think of this injector cleaning product, Run-Rite (on you tube)Spoke to the company and they say it will clean the injectors in the engine. Its a canister fill with their cleaning product, then injected (with motor running) into the fuel rail under 50lbs of air pressure. They say it will clean the carbon out of the tips. If it works it would be a big saving for many of us! Tool itself is $250. Adapter kit $250. and a case of thier cleaner is $149.-http://www.run-rite.com

Yup, mess with that fuel rail while the truck is running and you're gonna have a bad day.
Only way to clean the injectors is to pull them out.
I pull the injectors, remove nozzles and the needles and soak them in PB Blaster overnight.
Use a green or red scotch brite pad on the out side of the nozzles and then blow out the inside with air.
All that other crap (Sea Foam, Run-Rite, Billy Bob's Miracle Tonic, etc.) is a bunch of hocus pocus.
The best way to clean them out without removing them is this....
Get the truck down to 1/4 tank of fuel and add 16 oz of Power Service Diesel Kleen or Howe's Meaner Power Cleaner. Then, get the heaviest trailer you can find (10K+ lbs) and drive it like you stole it until the fuel light comes on.
Get the boost and EGT's up and that cleans all teh built up carbon and crud on the injector nozzles, exhaust valves and turbine vanes.
If you don't have a heavy trailer, go to Home Depot and rent the trailer with the back hoe on it.....Seriously.
The problem with these trucks is people daily drive them, it's not what their designed for. If you don't load them down and work the crap out of them, your mileage starts going in the toilet, idle gets rough, power goes down, etc.
Give 'er a work out and it'll be all good.
