Default 08 2500 Ram 4X4

I have an 08 Ram 2500 diesel. The stock wheels and tires (245-70-17s) make the truck look like it's running on donuts. Huge open wheel wells. I have a buddy with a 1500 Ram hemi which came stock with 20" wheels. Any suggestions? I'll need tires in 10-15K more miles. One last issue-if I change to 20" wheels will the height go up 3 inches? I'be been asked if the truck is lifted--it's totally stock.

Thanks

wierd that you have 245 70 17 tires, the stock 17 in 2500 Rims are 8 bolt, dodge ram 1500 rims are 5 bolt, so 1500 Ram rims will not fit on your truck.

You can get 18 rims (discount tire ) and run a 265 285 or 305 70 18 tires.

Cheaper route is to keep the 17 rims and run a 265, 285, or 305, 70 17 and the 17 in rims, I would wait to the stock tires are toast and run a 265 70 17, the big curse with 2500 Ram trucks is the stock rims stick out of the wheel wells, any larger size rim or tire will need fender flares, check out my profile, after market rims, 265 70 17 tires and you can see how much my tires stick out of the wheel wells...
