Default dead cummins

Hello all,I ran into a problem with my 1990 w250 CTD,I was driving along at highway speed and it just died,no warning of any kind,I thought it might be the lift pump but once i changed it,it still would not start so I was hoping someone could give me some idea's on what to look for? THANX IN ADVANCE

did you bled the fuel system well? and check for 12 volts at the injection pump solinoid with the key on, and pull the solinoid if you have power, they are known for coming apart internally
