Bought a turbo off a member on another forum. Mild upgrade from stock its a silver 2. Bring down the EGT's a bit and a bit quicker spool up.

Thinkin ill prob do a 2nd gen manifold swap as well while im at it, cool the EGT's down even more. Cant wait till it arives!

You mean a II Silver 62?

You'll like that with the mod's you currently have.

Spool is gonna be slightly slower (hardly noticeable) but your mid range and top end is gonna be MUCH better.

sorry to steal your thread, but did the HX35 only come on the 99 CTD or what? My buddy has a 01 and his has a HY35...from what he was telling me, my turbo should produce about 40PSI and his about 30...any truth???

35 psi is about as high as you want to go with any stock turbo, the hx turbos are on 94-02 trucks, the hy is found on the 99-02 w/auto trans

The HY35's were on the 00-02 auto's, the 99's still had the hx35.
