Default Electrical door lock problems

I have an 03 dodge cummins that has electrical door lock issues. It all started out with the passengers back door not wanting to unlock or unlock either way with the key fob or from the drivers door panel controls. Thought it was the child saftey lock but was not. Then the problem escalated to while the truck is running and when you reach that 15 or so mph where the doors automaticlly lock, there is starting to get to be a crackling sound in the back radio speakers when the locks go down. Kinda has that sound like there is a short in the wires. When you hit the lock button on the door panels, all you hear from the back passenger door is a crackling type sound, hard to explain the sound....kinda like a loud humming with crackling in it, like a snare drum being played. Anyways....the only way to lock and unlock it is manually now. Anyone have any ideas?

Chris1970....thanks man. I did as you said and loe and behold I found where the wires were broken. Between the body and the door when its in the open position, the wires run thru a rubber boot. Inside that boot, there are about 6 or 7 wires and I think there was 5 that was broken. Problem is....they broke about an inch from the plastic plug in. Were you able to splice yours together or did you have to buy the wiring harness?? If you bought harness...where did you get yours...from Dodge or aftermarket?? I thank you so much for your info.
