Default Vacuum problem? 2500 5.9 turbo diesel

I recently purchaced a 04, 2500 5.9 turbo diesel ram truck, the cruse control vacuum pump has two ports that have nothing connected to it. 1 on the top and 1 on the bottom. The cruse will not stay engaged of course. I haven't been able to locate a diogram showing how it should be connected or where they should be connected.(A friend of mine has an 05 but it is totally Different from mine). Both of the ports, top and bottom face the engine, the location of the pump is on the passenger side finder next to the battery. Can anyone help me?
I realize that the pump is prob. bad, but before I replace with a new one I would like to have it hooked up correct so it will function properly. Thank you for your help.

We will see what we can do for you.. I have a book at work I will remember to copie it and send you a link to it tomorrow Unless some one else has one. And they post it here or tell you how its hooked up.. Do you have access to a DRBIII or a high end snap on mac scanner? If so you can activate it with that and check to see if it works

I don't have a scanner to check it with, but I do know that it takes up to 1 min for the pump to shut off if there is no leaks. I know someone in town (Mech) that can check it once I get it connected, and they can tell me if its needs to be replaced. Thank You for your Help.

For the most part that is why most of us are here to help out fellow Dodge owners when needed... If you have a old Vacuum gauge one that you use on a gasser.. You can unhook the hose (s) to the pump and see if you get anything out of it.. Of course you will need to block off all ports first... that is a simple tool may want to see if you can borrow one if you don't own one...
