So I am looking at getting a Ram 2500 4x4 for my new daily driver and car towing. I had a few questions though:

Is the 5.9 a better engine than the 6.7? I like the updated front end, so should I stick with an 06 for the 5.9?

What kind of gas mileage do the diesels get?

Are they good at off roading? My friends go all the time and I wanted to be able to go through all the **** they do. One kid said diesels are too heavy though. Are lifts hard to install?

Also what are some things to look for when buying used?

How much would liability insurance be for a 17 year old?

If anyone has any suggestions let me know.
