Default looking for chip of 06 cummins

I have been on the hunt for a performance chip and i am having problem deciding, I would prefer one that can be changed on the fly and is not rediculously big. Im told smarty is the way to go for any cummins, but the programmer is just kinda bulky to leave pluged in. others i really looked into is the bully dog triple dog gt/PMT, and the superchip fyerfly with flashpaq. i have gages and seem kinda pointless to have them with either of those. any advice or direction is greatly appreciated.

I have the Smarty Jr and love it! It has the POD software on it which can be changed on the fly. It is smaller then the Smarty. Personally I will not run a Bully Dog downloader, I had a bad experience with them on my last truck. I also have known people with Dodges that have had trouble with them.

I am considering upgrading to the Smarty and would consider selling mine. PM if interested.

Well, before we talk about tuners, modules, etc.....let me ask you this.

What do you want to do with the truck?

What you plan to use it for?

What do yo udo with it everyday?

How much modding do you plan to do?

Well I would like to get a lil better gas mileage, more power of course, and something that will rid my speed limiter. I plan to use it for day to day driving and have the extra power to smoke people, I also tow ever so often, but im not in much need for more power to do that. Every day driving just back and forth to work with usually more play on the way there then anything, and im not to sure how much modding id like to do. I do know I will probably mod it slowly as I come in to have the money, more than like injectors next, followed by maybe the tranny. Not to sure really just fixin to finish payment on it and would like to start tricking it out.
And I checked out the Smarty jr, and it look like what im gonna need to get but I am still open for Ideas. thanks

From what you're talking about, I'd go with the Smarty Jr.

I know NickBeek has one that he's trying to part with so he can step up to the full Smarty.

Or, if you want a new one, just let me know and we'll get you taken care of.

Smarty. Adjustable is overrated IMO, although all new Smartys are POD
