I changed the oil in my 2010 2500 for the first time friday. The change oil light came on at 3175 miles. I put in DELO 400 15-40 and new filter. I reset the the change oil light and went on. The next morning the light came back on. I reset it it again yesterday and it came back on again this morning? Any ideas?

 

how did you reset it?

 

I reset it by the book. Turn on the key, depress accelarator 3 times and turn off key. I have done this twice and it just comes back on. I am going to try and run by the dealership this morning.

 

keith how much did it cost you to do the oil change yourself? if you dont mind me asking.

 

It cost $45 for 3 gallons of oil and filter. Mac Haik Dodge has a special right now of 5 oil changes for $160, but you have to pay up front. I will taking advantage of this as its only about $32 a change. By the way, I reset the oil change light one more time and it stopped coming back on.

 

make sure the floor mat isnt all the way also! turn the key to run with engine off and you should depress the pedal all the way to the floor then all the way back up 3 times within 5 - 10 seconds. then turn the key off then start the truck.
