Default Banjo Fitting Gaskets?

I just replaced my lift pump and every time I go to prime, after the pump kicks off I hear a split-second hiss. Are there gaskets that need to go on the following banjo fittings, and also where (i.e. top of fitting or between fitting and housing)

1. Banjo Fitting: Fuel line to lift pump? 1 or 2 washers or any at all?
2. Banjo Fitting: Fuel line from lift Pump to Filter Canister: 1 or 2 washers or any at all?
3. Banjo Fitting: Intake side of filter canister: 1 or 2 washers or any at all?
4. Banjo Fitting: Output to vp44 side of canister: 1 or 2 washers or any at all?

I desperately need help, this has been an ongoing problem for 2 weeks.

Anywhere where there are banjo fittings on my '01 there are TWO 'gaskets' (with the rubber piece attached).
The cummins guy told me years ago (and I just did) to put ONE piece rubber line from tank all the way to the fuel filter. or if you have a external lift pump to get rid of any banjo fittings not really needed. It has not leaked yet and starts immediately with no hiss.
