Default Info on late 07 compared to 08

Anyone know what changed on the late 07's to the new model year 08? Concerning the 6.7. Were more emission controls added in 08 over 07 6.7? I have scoured the country looking for a 5.9, and I am finding a few, but there seems to be a lot of mid mile 08's out there, and a few late 07's. I am hesitant of a late 07-6.7 becuase of the new model and typical bugs. I am thinking maybe best to find a low mile 08. the 5.9's are as expensive as newer 07 0r 08. Are the 08's quieter?

All opinions welcome!

I have hit autotrader for two weeks straight, and then went to the Dodge website and did a zip code search expanding 200 miles from furtherest dealer, starting in Wyoming. So basically I have hit every dealer that has a website, in Wy, Mt. Ne, Wisc. Mn. Sd, Nd, Id, Utah, parts of Co and Az. I would bet I have searched over 200 dealers, and probably 50 car brokers/dealers. THere are quite a few 5.9's out there, but many with low miles are on the east coast. And prices are some what inflated, like I said, I can buy a low mile 07.5 or 08, for the same price (close) as a low mile 06 or 07 5.9.

What would you guys do? I am pretty much a diesel virgin, I do drive them 30k a year at work but they are f-o-r-d-'s! I own a 1500 hemi and want a diesel for my camp trailer and horse trailer.

I never checked Canada, never gave it any thought. Is it pretty easy to bring a used truck back to the states?

I used to do it on a daily basis. I used to be a driver for a truck exporting company.

I think there's a few hoops to jump through... Nothing that kept the man I worked for from becoming quite wealthy doing it.
