i have lost 3rd gear in my manual trany what type of transmission do i have and what would be a good guess as to the cost of rebuild? i have really no where to start on the parts list and hays doesn't have a diesel manual. it has the Cummins in it.

its a getrag 5 speed..your best bet is to look into a good used one and get it checked over at a tranny shop before installing it...that would be the most cost effective way..
