Default Steering box adjustment screw leak

I have an 03' 2500 Cummings that has a persistent leak out of the adjustment screw on the top of the steering box. All I can find is a gasket kit for the top cover. Does anyone know if it is just an O ring on the adjust stud (under the lock nut) or do I need to get the whole kit? Also, if I take off the lock nut to inspect it, do I need to count threads to reinstall or is there a trick to getting the adjustment back to where it needs to be?
Thanks

use an allen wrench to hold the stud in place and back off the jam nut, i cant remember what kind of a seal is there but do that and you should see it
