Prodigy Electric Brake Controller - Always on?
Hello All,
I have a Prodigy brake controller that in the past I have connected/mounted as needed. However, I just spent time to permanently mount the controller as I got tired of connecting/reconnecting the controller every other week. I used the "official" patch cable that connects the Prodigy to the wiring loom under the dash of the dodge (2008, Dodge 2500). The problem is that the controller is permanently "lit up". I guess the loom provides 12v power whether the ignition is on or not.
Will this drain the battery?
Why would dodge design the electric brake wiring like this?
Dont many people permanently attach a controller to their trucks?
Any info appreciated.....
