Default vp44 fuel additives?

I just got an '01 cummins last week with 330k miles, the injector pump, lines, and injectors have been replaced by one of the previous owners.

I was wondering if its a good idea to put any additives in the fuel, to help with lubrication, since thats why most vp44s fail right? And what would be a good additive to use? thanks

you should really install a fuel pressure gauge to moniter, low pressure what kills the VP most of the time, but a lot of guys use 2-cycle mix for extra lubrication, the 06 turbo will work but will require some additional work as the exhaust is a little different and the outlet to the intercooler is pointed at a different angle

I've done some research and I'm going to order a triple gauge pillar. I'll put egt, trans, and fuel pressure.

how much 2 cycle mix per full tank?

some run just a few ounces and some run a quart per tank, just personal prefrence, the gauges are a great piece of mind...
