Default 97 5.9L Interminttent won't start

So, last winter, my 97 5.9L Dodge truck wouldn't start. It would turn over but wouldn't start. It ended up being the fuel shut off valve. Then, I took it home and it wouldn't start, wouldn't even turn over! We changed the starter because the mechanic thought the starter selenoid was going bad. Now it still does this intermitent, no start, no turn over thing. Kind of acts like it's a flat spot on the starter, but I don't think it is because on the weekend, it did the no start thing, and then this morning, went over and it started right up (and no, I didn't do anything to it). I go to start it, and the lights all come on like normal, and then you turn the key to the starting position and it clicks, then nothing at all. On the odd occasion, it will try to jump once, but then nothing.
Could it be a loose wire or ground to the starter? It's really weird and starting to get very annoying....
O, if I push start it, it won't do the no start thing again for a little while.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thank you

Try swapping the starter relay with another relay (like the A/C or Horn) in the PDC... It could have bad contacts there that aren't sending power to the starter solenoid
