Default Starting Issue

I have an '05 2500 and am having trouble starting the truck only after I use it and leave it sit for a little bit. For instance It starts just fine in the morning but if I run to store and turn it off it will not start. It cranks just fine but never fires. If I then let it sit for an hour or two it will fire up just fine. I had it looked at by a dealership as there are no local diesel mechanics around, and they are telling me it's most likely bad injectors and just to check them would be 400$. Before I go through with this check I'm trying to figure out if this is possibly what is wrong. I thought Injector issues would cause bad initial starts and the truck to run ruff, but it runs fine and like I said starts fine if it sits for awhile. Any help is greatly appreciated thank you very much.

try to pull the codes and see if anything comes up, the only thing that comes to mind could be the fuel filter, lift pump, of the fuel control actuator on the cp3 pump

There no codes coming up. I had another local guy look at it and He tried to find the codes but like I said there are none. He wanted to test the fuel pressure but unfortunately doesn't have the equipment to as he is not a primary diesel guy. I hate to pay the dealership mechanics all this money to run tests on something that doesn't really seem to be the issue if it's not. Thank you for your help anything other info would be great.
