Has anyone ever used pai engine kits? In the proccess of having the mechine work done and came across these people. $795. complete with pistons(sounds cheap, maybe not?) Cummins, Mahle are all about $2000.- 2,500. What i need is complete gasket set, all bearings STD, one over pistons w/ rings, Cam- w/bearings & lifters, rod & head bolts. I've had prices from $795 to $3,128. Should i use name brand pistons & parts or will aftermarket work as well. CPL 8422 eng.# 57247574, Need to purchase soon, Many different prices from many different people!

 

i rebuilt, my cousins engine with a pai kit, looked like quality stuff, its been a few years now and he beats the hell out of it and tows alot....

do not install one oversize piston, do them all, why do you need the cam/lifters, rod?

 

Machine shop said the cam is trashed, so i have to find a cam, lifter and maybe new springs. Going to replace all 6 pistons!

 

ebay always has good deals on good used cams/lifters, but if you have to do it why not do a hamilton big stick? little more than a used one but i think i paid about $500 for mine
