Unhappy Codes P2609 and P0111

So i have two trouble codes that poped up yesterday. The first one is p0111 its a intake air temp sensor and the second is P2609. I think its something with the air intake as well. any suggestions on fixing this would love to do it my self and not take it to the shop. Its a 06 2500 ctd.

Weak batteries or loose connections will cause those codes. Have you had the batteries load tested? If not, many auto stores will do that for free. If you have access to a load tester you can also check all your connections.

I had the batteries replaced in the beginning of the spring time last year. What connectors should i check? the battery terminals? or some other connectors? Thanks for the info.

The battery terminals and every cable that comes off of the battery terminals. All the grounds and positive cables as well. Most electrical issues are ground issues, so concentrate on those first. I'd pull every connection apart and clean the cable ends, bolt, washers, contact surfaces, ect. Even when they look "good", doesn't mean they are. If you ever have a chance to use a load tester to test the main power distribution system in a vehicle, you'd be surprised at how many "good looking" connections are crap. There is a big difference between seeing 12V with a voltmeter and being able to pass 700+ amps through a connection at 12V. Volt meters are kinda useless when diagnosing power distribution problems. They won't show a problem until something has completely failed. However, a good load tester is kinda expensive. It's much cheaper sometimes to just go ahead and clean all your connections. Besides, it's good preventive maintenance.

Default P1110

I have had the P1110 trouble code and have learned that the oil from an aftermarket reusable air filter will destroy the IAT. Thats when I started researching and found this is something known to K&N and they really didn't care. I can't remember all the details but the story is that an engineer with K&N found this out and started his own intake Co. with blessings from Dodge.
