Default Stuck in 4h

Today I was given a truck for $1. It is a 94 12 valve. Needs some work as you can imagine, but all and all in great shape mechanically. The only problem is that it is stuck in 4h and I can't shift it into 4L, Neutral, or 2wd. Any ideas what good be the problem and how to fix it. Thanks guys.

I had an issue similar to this and on mine one of the large C clips inside the t-case had fallen off not letting the sifter move. I bougth the new clip, range fork, seals and fluid. Total cost to pull it apart (myself) and fix it was under $100. I used the FSM and it was perfect for this job.
Only way to tell if this is it is to open her up.
