Default Diesel Insurance is stupid!!!

Hello Dodge Diesel Enthusiasts I have an 04 Ram 1500 Hemi, great truck nice top end power nothing on the low end so I am 100 % convinced on getting a 2nd gen dodge cummins diesel but to me the insurance payments are stupid trucks are far safer sure, the engine is more expensive but its more powerful, more reliable, has a far longer life span, and gets way better mileage than a gas motor the frames on the trucks are so much stronger but according to the so called "informed" insurance agents it has to cost more on your insuarance payments because of all of those positive reasons to own a diesel so if your rolling in some little 4 banger it should should cost close to nothing even if your rolling in a death trap so is anyone else pissed of at that the insurance companies so called knowledge?!

You're 18, insurance is going to suck no matter what.

Also, trucks/SUVs aren't safer than passenger cars - they're way more prone to rollover accidents and trucks particularly have poor weight distribution so they have certain handling quirks. You want safe - get a relatively new large sedan. Most mid-size cars are far safer than trucks too.
