Default FASS DDRP 02 vs Retrofit in-tank Lift Pump?

Truck: 2001 Dodge 2500 Vin 6

My injector pump recently went out and the dealership is also recommending the lift pump be replaced. Dodge doesn't make an OEM replacement part anymore and recommends an in-tank retro-fit kit be applied.

I got a comment that the retro-fit kit was not a good thing.

I found a FASS DDRP 02 to replace the lift pump in place one for one. http://fass-fuel-pumps.com/fass-fuel.../fass-ddrp.htm

Does any one have any additional opinions on which way to go?

I'd go with the FASS or an AirDog setup.
