2001 dodge desiel 24 valve driving down the road and just shut down wont restart

 

rollover wont start

 

maybe it needs plugs and wires give us some more info to go off of. im assuming when you say rollover wont start you mean it cranks..... are you getting fuel, bet your lift pump went or something if you were driving it and it just quit like that and wont refire

Going down the road light came on said check gauges and before i could the truck shut down its a 2007 6.7 with 250,000 miles on it.truck turns over but wont start

 

The dudes on this forum have no clue to the details of the older 99 to 02 5.9 24 valve engines.

Your lift pump is gone and it has starved the hi-pressure pump. Expect to have these replaced.

Your truck is still worlds better than anything sold after 2003, I feel sorry for the smucks who invested in the new "green diesel" engines.
