Just bought a RAM3500 with the cummins engine. with 120,000 miles I wanted to do all the 100,000 mile required mantainace. when it came to the trans band adjustment, the book list 3 different trans with 3 different adjustments. the numbers stamped in the trans do not match the numbers in the book.

stamped #PK52854238AA 2714 1895

Book #'s 46RE
47RE
48RE

Thanks

You should create a signature with your truck's info (exact engine size, model year, trim level, options, etc.) so that we can better help you in the future.

46RE transmissions were only on 5.2L/5.9L V8 gas equipped 1500s/2500s/3500s. If you have the Cummins, you have either a 47RE or a 48RE. I will move this to the diesel section, get you some help.
