hard shifting from n to 4 low or 4 high

just bought a 2001 cummins & had to replace the transfer case & drive shaft ,Ifind it hard to shift out of neutral is this normal, I replaced it with a rebuilt

mine moves around with very little effort, i assume you are stoped with trans in neutral while tring to shift?

your right Im trying to shift when stop,somebody told me to keep the truck moving while shifting from neutral to 4 low or 4 high
