Question uhh ohh I may have a problem here

My 99 2500 , that I just bought no less did something funny this weekend. It hasnt been started or moved all week and when I went out to back it out of the drive way and turn it around so i could back it into the garage I noticed it didnt have any power. If I put it into park or neutral and gave it throttle it acted normal and would rev all the way up but in gear it was like it was hitting a limiter of some sorts. Is this a fuel pump or injector pump issue starting to raise its head???

Do you have gauges, if so what was the fuel pressure?

Your lift pump may be going out.

Is there any way you can have the truck scanned for trouble codes that we can help with?

Others will chime in.

dont drive it!!!! untill you get a fuel pressure reading, just a mile with out pressure can destroy the injection pump

Id say start with the fuel filter. ^ and next invest in a code reader next like everyone said get a fuel pressure reading. My dad has an 01 and his ended up doing the same thing and it was the fuel lift pump. Pray that its not that. But good luck. I guess i didnt help much huh. Lol
