Question 1998 Dodge filter housing leak, cheap fix?

Hi everyone,
I'm new to the forum. I ran across it while searching for a fix for my leaky filter housing on my 1998 Dodge 200 diesel. On the top of the filter housing where the heater wires pass through it began to leak. I contacted the local dealer and his fix was to replace the housing. I really don't want to spend 1200 bucks. Not that I have it to spend anyway. I'm curious to know whether anyone has an inexpensive fix for this problem. I hear that it's quite common. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! ~ Charles

from the sounds of things, you must have a 24v, the best way is to buy a fass or air dog fuel system and bypass all that stuff completely, the fuel systems on the 24v's are not known to be very good....
