My check engine light came on when my batteries went "dead". I replaced the batteries, starts just fine now but the check engine light is still on. How do I reset the computer so the light will go off without having to use a flash device thru a mechanic or something? I've seen procedures to cycle the ignition, etc that will do this for some vehicles. Can this be done on the 07 5.9L Cummins?

i got the same problem. check engine light on . turn ing. key 3 time. the code is all dashes the it say done.
please help.

 

The manual should tell you exactly what to do, kinda like shutting off the seatbelt indicator. I could be wrong, I've been married three times!
