Default Kant decide.....?

I'm considering 2 trucks both basically the same except for the engine:
3500 SLT's, 4x4, quad cab, long bed, DRW, 6spd man. tranny

'06 with 62,000 mi
'08 with 48,000 mi

I think the 5.9 would be better from the emissions standpoint, just not sure which way to go.....

Totally new to diesels.....2 Tacoma's the last 11 years.

Thanks in advance

Planning on a 5th wheel toyhauler someday

If both are in the same condition then I 100% say the 5.9.

5.9 would be my pick...injector failure was probably the biggest issue witht he common rails and i wouldnt worry abt it. good running engine and definatly a work horse. the emmisions on the 6.7 isnt all that bad. i like mine and its quieter than the 5.9. biggest issue with 6.7 is probably headgasket failure.
