My 1996 dodge tps sensor was shot and was reading 5.1 volts no matter what .. I took it apart and determined that it fell apart internally.... I replaced the sensor today with a new one.. still same reading and yes still no overdrive/.. Check engine light was not on but when I checked with my computer it brought up 2 codes.. tps high voltage and the low voltage one... After replacing with new one it just brings up tps high voltage with high the same readings as old 5.1... What should I do next? why isnt my check engine light coming on? Yes the light comes on when the ignition is turned on...
