Default cummins 325HP turbo failures please read

a 2005 dodge ram 2500 5.9L cummins 325HP

this is the third turbo failure on this truck in a very short time. seems like it runs dry of oil and the compressor and exhaust fans are breaking. the compressor fan runs against the housing.

the last turbo was a brand new one.

oil pressure to turbo is 3bar and it flows straight thru the turbo.

what could be wrong?

engine oil is ok
oil pressure to turbo ok
oil return out of turbo = flows good

Are the turbos getting primed properly?
Are you cooling the turbo down before parking or riding it hard and putting it away wet?

i´m from sweden so i dont really know what you mean by "priming" but if you mean if i put oil in the oil inlet on the turbo before i start it on the vehicle - yes.

the truck is not driven hard. i really don´t understand how the turbos can break like this.

i can mention that all injectors and one piston is replaced because of a injector failure.

best regards

the oil passage from the turbo to the oil pan is free and not blocked.

and the oil feed produces at least 3 bar of pressure to the turbo oil inlet and the flow seems to be good, 1 us quart is filled in about 5-10 seconds

anyone who knows anything wich can help me with this problem. i can´t replace the turbo before i know whats wrong.

the turbo inlet (from air filter) is completely dry, and from my experience, at least on diesel engines is that all cars have som amount of oil in the inlet on the turbo charger. this is the first i´ve seen that is dry and i have seen pretty many, when i work in an auto repair shop. but i want to add that most consumer cars (diesel) have a hose attached to the inlet, coming from the rocker cover and this engine have NOT.

thanks
