24 valve 2nd gen problem

Alrighty guy.. I'm ussually in the other section.. but my buddy has a few problems try to help him out..

Has an 01 24 valve... got it stuck.. got out went to the shop. Replaced the brake parts.. next day after all that the power steering quit.. no he has no brakes either...

Any ideas whats goin on?

Now we undid the tie rods and turn yhe key on and went to turn the wheep off to the side.. and it turns one finger

Sounds like a problem with the hydro-boost unit, or the power steering pump itself. The power steering pump powers the brakes on that truck.
